This series functions as a autobiographical narrative  which meditates on the relationship between  family and one’s cultural identity.

I examine the interpolation between self- identity and the phenomenology of  black familial-hood,  suggesting the presence of a collective consciousness where history and tension give form to the life of the  black body.

Ultimately, I  question the authenticity of the identities/labels we use to define us and the evident traces of our lineage which live in these declarations.
