“narr'ceh'sus”
digital chromogenic print.
2018.

This series attempts to meditate the relationship between  family and identity, working through  concepts like ancestry, visibility and the politics of community.

These works are autobiographival, asking can one objectively arrive to their identity?  Is their a level of negotiation in pivoting against history and the present as you search for who you wish to be.

Each image illustrates a sense of reflection: as the hands represent an affirmation of a “genesis” or beginning for the sibject to begin “seeing” itself.
